Over the Summer, P3I worked with local artist Kelsie Dayna to create an illustration in the spirit of “Live Work Stay Hawai‘i.” Her artwork features a multigenerational home where a high school student is engaged on a STEM Project, a college student is coding, and a professional working on data analysis – all within the comfort of their own home. To capture the feeling of a quintessential local household, the scene includes familiar touches like a surfboard, mangoes in the kitchen, slippers on the front porch, a tūtū in palaka print, and a rooster. The artist also designed six unique “stamps” to represent various careers within Hawai‘i’s defense sector: data science, information technology, intelligence, cybersecurity, software engineers and electronic professional. Each stamp features the illustration of a computer that personifies each career. Throughout the year, we encourage our P3I partners and students to participate in P3I sponsored events for the opportunity to receive specialty items with these illustrations.
