We recently sponsored a dinner for Sporting Blue Valley’s 2008 E64 team during their trip to Orlando for the 2024 U.S. Youth Soccer (USYS) National Championship tournament. The USYS National Championships is the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing approximately 185,000 players on over 10,000 teams from USYS State Associations the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and fair play. Only 4,500 athletes across 250 teams make this tournament. Coach Gareth Hughes and these young men were one of 16 finalists in their age group competing on the national stage. While they didn’t make it to the championship game, Hawthorn Bank was proud to sponsor a family meal in support of their incredible journey, and we’re proud to support the Sporting Blue Valley community.
