Employee retention starts with job satisfaction In today’s competitive talent market, retaining top performers is more important - and more challenging - than ever. One often overlooked solution? Prioritize job satisfaction. Satisfied employees are not just productive; they are engaged and committed. When people feel valued, supported, and aligned with their work, they’re far more likely to stay for the long haul. We believe in understanding employees at a deeper level, using behavioral insights to measure satisfaction and fit beyond surface-level skills. By matching talent to roles that suit their cognitive strengths, we empower teams to thrive and, in turn, increase retention. Retention isn't just about perks - it's about creating a meaningful, purpose-driven workplace. What strategies are you using to boost job satisfaction? #EmployeeRetention #JobSatisfaction #BehavioralInsights #WorkplaceCulture #TalentManagement

No child should have to wait years for an autism assessment. Early diagnosis is key to unlocking vital support and can be life-changing. The call for ringfenced funding and mandatory autism training for school staff is a critical step toward ensuring all autistic children receive the education and care they deserve. Let's push for immediate action, these kids can't wait any longer.

It is a scandal that children are waiting years for an autism assessment. A diagnosis can be life changing, and in some cases lifesaving. Dame Rachel de Souza highlights “everyday a child waits for support could permanently alter their life course". We agree with the findings that ‘children face an invisible crisis’ and can’t get the support they need. We welcome the Children Commissioner using her statutory powers to gather this important, previously unpublished data and her call for the Government to urgently intervene, to cut waiting times and improve support in mainstream schools. The upcoming Government budget needs to provide sufficient ringfenced funding for autism assessments and provide more support for schools; such as mandatory autism training for all school staff, to make sure all autistic children get the education and support they need to thrive.

Sorry, long read.... but you can be involved with a think tank for NASA! At The Octopus Movement, our 👉 think tanks 👈 are fueled by the power of nonlinear thinkers—individuals who see the world through a unique lens, connecting dots that others might miss. This isn't just a bold claim; evidence supports the idea that nonlinear thinkers often generate some of the most innovative solutions to complex problems. The Evidence Behind Nonlinear Thinking Nonlinear thinking allows for flexible, creative problem-solving by considering a wide array of possibilities and approaches. Here are some facts that highlight its impact: ✅ Enhanced Creativity: Research in cognitive psychology indicates that nonlinear thinkers excel in divergent thinking, which involves generating multiple solutions to a problem. This approach often leads to more innovative and original ideas. ✅ Complex Problem-Solving: Nonlinear thinkers are adept at navigating complex and uncertain environments. Their ability to think flexibly enables them to find solutions where linear thinkers might see insurmountable obstacles. ✅Innovation in Practice: Many groundbreaking inventions and advancements have resulted from nonlinear thinking. Innovators like Nikola Tesla and Marie Curie used nonlinear approaches to make leaps in science and technology. It's Not Wishful Thinking—It's Proven Potential Our commitment to nonlinear thinking isn't based on illusion or mere optimism. It's grounded in a recognition of how innovative ideas truly emerge: ✅ Scientific Support: Studies have shown that engaging in nonlinear thought processes can enhance problem-solving capabilities and foster creativity. ✅ Real-World Applications: Organizations that encourage nonlinear thinking among their teams often outperform those that rely solely on traditional methods. Understanding the "Theory of Mind" and Why We Are Called The Octopus Movement. In simple terms, Theory of Mind is the ability to understand that other people think and feel differently than we do. It helps us recognize that others have their own thoughts, emotions, and perspectives, which may not match our own. This skill allows us to empathize, communicate effectively, and connect with others. The Octopus Movement is all about embracing these differences—how we think, how we see the world, and how we solve problems. The movement brings together people who think nonlinearly, meaning they see connections, ideas, and solutions that aren't always obvious in a typical step-by-step, linear way. But why the octopus? Think about it—octopuses are fascinating creatures with multiple arms, each moving independently, yet all connected to one central brain. This represents how we, in the Octopus Movement, function as individuals (or "arms") with different ways of thinking, yet we're all connected to the same mission of creating positive change. We understand that our strength lies in these differences, just like the octopus uses its many arms to adapt and thrive. In a world where people often feel disconnected, The Octopus Movement encourages us to develop our "Theory of Mind"—to recognize and appreciate each other's unique perspectives. By doing so, we become more connected, creative, and capable of solving the world's biggest challenges together. That’s why we’re called The Octopus Movement—we’re a collective of unique thinkers, embracing our individual ways of seeing the world, while working together to make it a better place. Let’s use our many minds, just like the octopus uses its arms, to explore new ideas and build a brighter future. #octopus #theoctopusmovement #change #innovation #global ps. I think colour is nonlinear thinking. And Black and White is linear thinking.
