#HayworthNewsroom: Powerhouse Arts launches a new print publishing program 🖨 In 2023, New York-based artist Ivan Forde began collaborating with the Powerhouse Arts Print Shop as a pilot for the shop’s yet-to-launch Artist in Residence program. Working in collaboration with Printshop Director Luther Davis, and the talented Printshop team, Forde explored new hybridized processes. The artist has produced the inaugural print, with limited edition prints by artists Alex Dodge, Julia Wachtel, and Michael Joo to follow this year. The program itself seeks to introduce collectors to a diverse range of artists and technical processes made possible through their collaboration. Collectors are invited to engage with the artists and PHA’s leading print team at events throughout the year. #PowerhouseArts was recently included in AIA New York’s Design Awards 🏆 Hayworth client, Powerhouse Arts, was awarded Architecture Merit from AIANY as part of its AIA New York Design Awards. Powerhouse Arts led the redevelopment of the former Brooklyn Rapid Transit Power Station in Gowanus to create a new facility that houses fabrication facilities for ceramic, print, and public art, in addition to spaces for textiles, small metal, and large metal projects. The building hosts professionals and educators, who work together to co-create and share artistic practices vital to the wellbeing of artists and the communities to which they belong. Looking back at Aziz + Cucher’s collaboration with Powerhouse Arts on the print series “You’re Welcome and I’m Sorry” ⏮ ⁠ For this unique project, Powerhouse Arts, Inc.’ print team produced three large-format prints on canvas. The imagery was collaged and then outputted on canvas by a combined process of large- format Epson digital printing and screenprinting.
