"We are the Ohio River because we drink the water". This new report by the National Wildlife Federation and the Ohio River Basin Alliance (ORBA) presents findings from 31 community listening sessions that will be used to inform the ORBA's plan to restore and protect the waters of the Ohio River Basin. Once complete, this plan will be delivered to the U.S. Congress with the goal of securing and sustaining the federal investments necessary to implement the plan’s recommendations. In 2023, the Ohio River was labeled the Second Most Endangered River in the U.S. Input from citizens can go a long way in shedding light on what they believe, care about, and want done to restore and protect the Ohio River Basin. https://lnkd.in/e_mJcZmn

The first Soil Your Undies Challenge results are in! Bahr Farm got help from Aiken High School ag students to dig up what was left of the farm's buried underwear. Despite the dreary weather, everyone was excited to make their predictions and see the results. The pair buried in an undisturbed grazing pasture were the most degraded (soiled) but we decided more experimentation might be needed. Follow the link below to see a video of the soiled undies unearthing. Visit our website to learn more about our version of the Soil Your Undies Challenge. #HCCDsoilyourundieschallenge https://lnkd.in/gpXfC7Za
Thank you to Bahr Farm & the Cardinal Land Conservancy for being the first to do the Soil Your Undies Challenge! Today, students from Aiken High School’s agriculture program came out to the farm and helped unearth the undies, planted 2 months ago, to some surprising results. Staff and students decided more experimentation and undie soiling may be needed! Learn more about the Soil Your Undies Chall
