Way to go, HoCo! We would like to extend our thanks to our amazing community, our partners, and our dedicated and caring volunteer team who attended our Medication & Sharps Collection on October 26. Together, we collected 1,169 lbs. (45 white bins) of medication in 4 hours! In addition we collected 27 red bins of sharps which were not included in the final weight. HC DrugFree, the Howard County Police Department @HCPDNews , and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) @DEAHQ have been partnering on these semi-annual events since 2012. They say it takes a village, and we are certainly grateful for ours! #hocomd #howardcountymd #medicationdisposal #medicationsafety #howardcountymaryland #columbiamd #columbiamaryland #ellicottcitymd #clarksvillemd #communityhealth #drugfreeyouth #hocohealth #communitylove #prescriptionmeds #sharpsdisposal #mindyourmeds #ittakesavillage #dmvtakeback #drugtakebackday #drugdisposal #hocopolice #publichealth

What are HoCo Parents, Guardians, and Grandparents saying about our FREE Parenting Class? "I have been a parent for nearly 40 years and a grandparent for eight. No one is too old to learn new and better ways of dealing with family interactions. I love the idea of introducing these skills at an early age and will definitely introduce them to my grandchildren whenever they're with me. I think teaching them refusal skills especially is critical, especially these days when they're going to be exposed to so many negative and dangerous behaviors."
