Today, we partnered with Margate Police Department, Walgreens and the DEA for Crush the Crisis and made a difference in the fight against opioid misuse! The community dropped off over 100 lbs of unused or expired medications for safe disposal and helped us take a stand against the opioid crisis in our community. Yesterday, Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium Defensive End, Emmanuel Ogbah, visited our patients and colleagues for the second year in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Ninth-year NFL veteran Emmanuel Ogbah delivered dozens of bouquets of flowers directly to our patients on Tuesday. Ogbah took time to chat with each patient and their family, as well as signed autographs and posed for pictures with patients and colleagues throughout the hospital. Mammograms are the best tool to help you find breast cancer early, even before you feel a lump or change in your breast tissue. Early detection typically helps to lessen the need for aggressive treatment and chances of survival are improved.
