HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital has donated $10,000 to the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce to support disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The hurricane brought record-breaking storm surges to the Tampa Bay area, leaving many residents in urgent need of basic necessities. The donation will help the Chamber provide essential resources, such as food, water, clothing and emergency supplies, to local residents and businesses as they recover and rebuild in the wake of the storm. “As a healthcare provider committed to the well-being of our community, we recognize the critical need for immediate support in times of crisis,” said Brent Burish, chief executive officer of HCA Florida Pasadena and St. Petersburg Hospitals. “We hope this contribution will help accelerate recovery efforts and bring comfort to those affected by Hurricane Helene.” Read more: https://bit.ly/4h2iL1w

This past week, HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital hosted a special Mini-Mart event, offering essential resources to our incredible HCA Healthcare colleagues from across the region. Team members from any HCA facility were able to receive free food, water, cleaning supplies, and access to shower and laundry services. Thanks to the outstanding support from colleagues across the West Florida Division, we were able to assist over 200 families within our HCA Healthcare family! A special shoutout goes to our friends at HCA Florida Northside Hospital, HCA Florida Largo Hospital, HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital, HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital, and HCA Florida South Shore Hospital, whose amazing teams showed up in force to volunteer and make this event a success. We are truly honored to be part of an organization that cares so deeply for its people, especially during challenging times. Together, we’re stronger.

In preparation for Hurricane Helene, HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital has successfully evacuated all patients to our sister facilities. Ensuring their safety and well-being remains our priority. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sunstar Paramedics and NATIONAL HEALTH TRANSPORT, INC. for their exceptional support in safely transferring our patients. To further protect the hospital, we have deployed the Tiger Dam Flood Control System—an advanced solution designed to shield our facility from potential flooding. This will help ensure that our hospital is secure and ready to serve the community as soon as conditions allow. We are closely monitoring the storm and are committed to keeping our patients, staff and community safe. Stay tuned for updates. Thank you for your support, and please stay safe during the storm! #HurricaneHelene #HCAPasadenaHospital #HCAFloridaHealthcare
