On this #MissionMomentMonday, we want to recognize our colleagues at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital who volunteered in Florida and North Carolina after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. ER director Sandra and nurses David, Sergeline, Bailey, and Tammy assisted at HCA Florida Blake and Oak Hill Hospitals. “I was initially set for Mission Hospital in North Carolina, but with Milton’s impact, I went to the west coast of Florida instead. Our team was eager to help, and the experience was incredible. The gratitude from the staff made it all worthwhile,” said Sandra. Clinical educator Rio also volunteered in North Carolina at Mission Health and Mission Hospital McDowell. “Witnessing the devastation from Hurricane Helene, I knew my 30 years of ER experience could help.
