TrueCare is excited to announce that Cheryl Petersen Pine, who joined us as Interim CFO in January, has officially accepted the role of Chief Financial Officer. Over the past seven months, her leadership has been instrumental in enhancing our financial strategies and aligning them with our operational goals.   Cheryl’s dedication and expertise have strengthened our teams and provided valuable insights to our board and colleagues. We could not have asked for a better way to celebrate #ChildrensHealthDay! Our Flourish & Nourish Health Fair & Breast Milk Drive was a huge success 🎉 We were thrilled to offer key services like low-to-no-cost vaccinations, dental screenings/fluoride, stroller giveaways, free backpacks to prepare children for the new school year, information about our medical resources, and collected breast milk for babies in need. This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the UC Milk Bank, San Diego Blood Bank, City of Oceanside, Home Depot, Palomar Health, Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, California State University San Marcos, Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, Vista Hill, Words Alive! We are also grateful to have Office of Assemblymember Laurie Davies and the offices of Congressman Mike Levin, Catherine Blakespear, and Jim Desmond on-site to issue proclamations in honor of TrueCare WIC's 50th Anniversary, National Health Center Week and to honor our "Nourish & Flourish" community event.
