About us
Healthy Paws is a top-rated* pet health insurance provider in the country. First and foremost, we're pet-lovers. Our compassion for pets drives us to offer a great insurance product, hire the best employees, and offer an extraordinary caliber of service. Everything we do is driven by our love of animals and providing an exceptional experience to pet parents who've enrolled their furry family members with us. Headquartered in Washington, we hire both local and remote candidates. Healthy Paws has a small company feel with caring co-workers, accessible leaders, and a collaborative approach to getting the job done. Of course, pets are welcome anytime, and we love to see them on video calls. Even with a remote workforce, we keep people feeling connected through virtual monthly pep rallies, town hall meetings, and check-ins to play games or just chat. Employees are celebrated on their anniversaries and for outstanding performance at the pep rallies and through online channels. Healthy Paws is one of the U.S.’s most well-established pet insurance providers, having started in 2009.

September is #NationalPetInsuranceMonth and we are sharing Leo's story. When pet parents Joe and Melissa adopted an adorable black Labrador puppy, they did not expect to face a life-threatening condition when that sweet puppy, Leo, was only 13 weeks old. Leo suddenly started vomiting and was rushed to the vet in grave condition. His kidneys had shut down, and he was diagnosed with leptospirosis, which can cause dangerous kidney or liver failure. Leo was placed on dialysis and given antibiotics to fight the bacteria. It took a seven-day hospital stay with treatment, but Leo recovered and returned to his old puppy self just a few days. Joe and Melissa are so glad they had Healthy Paws pet insurance to cover $16,418 of the total $20,836 vet bill.
