We’ve worked on hundreds of systems and analysed thousands of heat transfer fluid samples. Our expertise is second to none and that’s why we’re the market leader. What we do: • Thermal fluid, thermal oil, heat transfer fluid, heat transfer oil supply • 24/7 engineering support • Thermal fluid sample & analysis • DSEAR / ATEX regulatory compliance experts • System audit & report • Heat transfer system drain, clean & refill • Thermal fluid system dilution • Thermal oil & heat transfer system training • Health and safety training • Light ends removal & flash point management • Filtration to remove solids • Thermocare® thermal fluid management - save up to 75% on current costs • Heat transfer system start-up assistance • Spill kits, flange guards & sample coolers What the Health & Safety Executive Say DSEAR (ATEX/CAD in Europe) Regulations 2002 set out the requirements for minimising the risks and protecting workers from fire (& explosion) where flammable materials are handled which could create an explosive atmosphere. Thermal fluids can become volatile and hazardous if conditions are allowed to deteriorate. The risk increases when thermal fluid has degenerated and flash point, boiling points and auto ignition temperatures are reduced - the lower the flash point, the higher the risk. Taking regular hot, circulating samples, while the system is in operation, and analysing the results will tell us if there’s a risk. We Work With; Food & beverage manufacturers Wood processing Industrial manufacturers Marine Oil & gas Plastic, Polymer & Styrene Chemical Bio diesel Solar Asphalt Pharmaceutical

Prevent downtime with standby pumps. We've spoken about having standby pumps within your circuit many times before, but with many manufacturers around the world focusing on their production in the lead-up to the festive period, we feel it's fitting to mention again. 🗣️ Manufacturers will greatly benefit from having a run and standby pump within their circuit. Both should be calibrated but only one used at any one time, then interchanged weekly, performing maintenance where needed on the pump that is bypassed. Emergency plans and procedures such as this are critical to reducing downtime. They allow manufacturers to react quickly when issues arise. Check out our recent article on health, safety and heat transfer systems in Process and Control Today. This short article written by our Managing Director, Clive Jones, gives an overview on how you can manage risk, maintain a safe site and train knowledgeable staff to ensure your manufacturing process maintains compliance against local regulations. To help maintain an efficient production process you should: ✅ Aim to sample and analyse the thermal fluid in your heat transfer system quarterly. This enables you to trend fluid data, predict future events and intercept potential issues before they arise. ✅Train your staff on the safe handling and proper storage practices of thermal fluid. ✅Commission thermal fluid experts to conduct annual heat transfer system audits to ascertain the overall health of your system and produce reports on areas of improvement. They key to operating a cost effective and optimised heat transfer system is maintaining a clean and efficient system. Our Globaltherm® Cleaning and Flushing heat transfer fluid range will clean your system in one process, leaving ready to accept a new charge of thermal fluid. Globaltherm® C1 and Globaltherm® C1 FG, for use in food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturing, are uniquely formulated to remove harsh contaminants from a heat transfer system. Circulating debris in any system at any stage of its lifecycle can erode pipework, accelerate the oxidation and decrease the thermal efficiency of a thermal fluid, and reduce all round performance and production. Use Globaltherm® C1 or C1 FG before commissioning a new system or in between fluid replacement to help ensure system optimisation.
