The Hecla Charitable Foundation donated $25,000 to the City of Mullan for improvements to the Morning Club, a #community center used by local organizations and residents. The Morning Club also houses the Mullan Library. Chris Neville, Vice President-General Manager of the Lucky Friday Mine and Human Resources Manager Michelle Horning presented the check to the Mayor of Mullan and the city council. In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, many of our employees in Canada will wear orange as a sign of solidarity with our region’s aboriginal communities. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge the importance of this day, remember the history, and show these communities our support. #NDTR

Our employees regularly #volunteer in the communities where they live and work. Jason Hart, the Juneau Branch Chair of the Alaska Mining Association and a volunteer coach for the Junior Little League, coached a baseball team to victory at the State Championship! We’re always thrilled to see our employees active in their local #community. #miningindustry

On #NationalCleanUpDay, we reiterate our commitment to the communities surrounding our operations. Two of our operations recently participated in their local Adopt-A-Highway programs. Twice a year, our Lucky Friday employees #volunteer to pick up litter along a two-mile stretch of highway in Idaho. At our Greens Creek mine in Alaska, the Mill Operations team led our regular effort to clean up the roadside. This is just one way our employees give back. #community #community
