What a wonderful time Helzberg Diamonds #Leadership2024

My first time attending Leadership Summit, and while I'm still getting my bearings at Helzberg Diamonds, the past two days helped bring into focus the strategy and direction of the organization. One thing that is perfectly clear is our role at the Store Support Center (SSC) -- what we do is in the name. Thank you to Daniel Forman and Ryan Holm for leading a valuable discussion for the SSC associates that helped identify some crucial ways we can enable our store associates to provide an extraordinary customer experience.

Another energy-generating Helzberg Diamonds Leadership Summit where we were graced by our Field leaders from across the nation this week! As a member of our Store Support Center (SSC aka HQ), we are here to serve our field so we can serve our customers and this is the opportunity to exchange ideas with them to do just that. With an opening from the always inspiring Brad Hampton, the customer-driven theme was set and with that foundation and key pillars to help bring meaningful moments to life for our customers, the week was set! There were plenty of opportunities to learn alongside our field leaders and hear from them how we can help make their lives easier. Closing out with the energy from keynote speaker, Dan Gingiss, I feel inspired and ready to go!!! This year, over 50% of our corporate office team participated in some form of activity for the Corporate Challenge, and we placed 2nd in #KansasCity!  Helzberg Helps is a standalone charitable organization that is fueled 100% by employee volunteerism, and in June, we raised over $100K to benefit our Kansas City community. Through Helzberg Helps, we’ve come together to spread love in the communities that need it most and raise money to support local organizations like Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas, The Salvation Army Army and Children's Mercy Kansas City. In our stores, our associates operate as a team; they are committed and passionate about our brand and create amazing experiences every day for our customers.  The store teams live our core values; the positive energy and enthusiasm they exhibit create an amazing environment in our stores that our customers notice right away.  Our customers often tell me that being a customer of Helzberg is like being part of a big family.      I’ve been blown away by how our team members show up every day! Thank you to all our associates for embodying the spirit of what we believe at Helzberg – that everyone deserves to feel loved. Your teamwork, dedication and time spent giving back has done exactly that.

As a life-long learner, I believe in the power of education and am honored to have joined the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Board of Trustees.   In the heart of #KansasCity, UMKC is the largest comprehensive, fully accredited university in the city with award-winning academic programs and a diverse, inclusive campus, giving students the opportunity to succeed in the community they live in.   To me, this opportunity represents the ability to collaborate with other community #leaders to create a brighter future by advocating for and supporting UMKC and its students.

One insight that has stood the test of time – consumers are on the hunt for affordable products that help them define their personal style - guilt-free purchases!    We released an exclusive line of statement sterling silver pieces in collaboration with beloved brand, Silpada, to create opportunities for self-purchase across a wide spectrum of shoppers and meet this new customer at an entry-level price point. They are building a relationship with us for a different reason than engagement and wedding, which is important to understand from the start of concept and design to the time our associates spend with customers.     We wanted to marry the timelessness of the material with the edge of its contemporary design – a perfect iteration of legacy and innovation. Our CEO, Brad Hampton, well represented Helzberg Diamonds this past weekend, and was honored at the Jewelers for Children Event in Las Vegas. Helzberg has a longstanding history of philanthropy and a strong culture of providing support to families in need. JFC is a wonderful organization, and thanks to Brad’s leadership, the preservation and enrichment of Helzberg’s “giving culture” is a top priority.
