  • We are honored to be the Future Leaders Sponsor for this year's Saginaw Chamber Chairman's Ball. AB (Arabinda) Ghosh, Corning Vice President and General Manager of Solar Technologies and Chairman and CEO of Hemlock Semiconductor, delivered brief remarks during the event. This sponsorship provides us with a unique opportunity to connect with the next generation of community leaders. We are excited to see these future leaders make a meaningful impact, encouraging them to invest in their community and take on essential roles for its growth and development.

  • Dana’s journey began with a spark of inspiration in her high school calculus class, where she first realized the power of engineering to change the world. Encouraged by her father—a mechanical engineer in the auto industry—she pursued a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, eager to tackle challenges head-on and make a real impact. Her passion led her from a formative experience at Dow Corning in Greensboro to a fulfilling decade at HSC, where she now shines as a Manufacturing Engineer Specialist. Dana has become the driving force behind transformative energy-saving projects. Her work not only champions sustainability but also demonstrates her knack for turning innovative ideas into tangible results. Beyond her technical achievements, Dana embodies the warm, collaborative spirit of HSC. She loves the company’s supportive culture and is an active voice in the Women’s Professional Network—an initiative that has enriched her professional life with mentorship and meaningful connections. Her advice is simple yet profound: “ask questions and make connections,” a testament to her belief in the power of curiosity and community.

  • Congratulations to Amber Cruz, Pedro Cruz, and Jaime Lopez-Roka, three HSC employees who are recent graduates of the Great Lakes Bay Hispanic Leadership Institute (GLBHLI)! Within this year's class, Jaime was the recipient of The Guadalupe (Lupe) Gomez Community Service & Leadership Award. 👏👏👏 GLBHLI is a year-long program designed to develop skills and connections for impactful leadership. The program consists of time in class and in the community volunteering. Through the work and relationships they create and the rich heritage and history they share, members strengthen bonds and are prepared to drive positive outcomes in our communities.

  • When the sun’s out, solar panels are capturing as much light as possible. But when night comes, that’s when it’s the battery’s time to shine. 🔋🌞 Why are batteries so important? ✅ Stored power to cover your home’s energy needs for the times when the sun isn’t out. ✅ Serve as backup power if your main energy source goes down. ✅ Helps maximize your solar use by storing energy, instead of not generating power or sending it back to the grid. Whether it’s powering your home, or charging your phone, batteries play a crucial role in our energy future! #NationalBatteryDay
