Hermeus is proud to be named in Andreessen Horowitz American Dynamism 50. The companies on this list are reshaping American defense – harnessing technology to strengthen deterrence, and in the process, re-industrializing America.
Imagine a world where supply chains grind to a halt, entire industries shut down overnight, and economic stability crumbles. This isn’t just a hypothetical risk, as geopolitical tensions rise. But Washington has spent years preparing for this moment. And Silicon Valley is stepping up to bolster America’s competitive edge. The American Dynamism 50 highlights 50 companies working to deter conflict and strengthen our national resilience. From AI-driven defense to advanced manufacturing and energy innovation, technology is the frontline of global security. These are the companies leading the charge: https://bit.ly/3DACqqv

The Hermeus propulsion test team cleans up nicely. Pictured here, members of the propulsion team and some friends from Pratt & Whitney at the Aviation Week Network Laureate Awards Dinner. Hermeus was recognized with an award for testing our proprietary precooler with the Pratt & Whitney F100-229 engine. This testing marks a key step toward the development of a production-relevant turbine-based combined-cycle propulsion system.

Hermeus reposted this
CSAF nailed it! “We have to sustain and maintain the ability to go into the most threat dense environments. This is about a balanced capability mix.” We need industry’s help now more than ever and I’m encouraged by advancements in munitions and hypersonic technologies. #AFACOLORADO

In our State of the Company address, we reflect on milestones from the past year and look ahead to what’s next. In 2024, we built our first aircraft and completed its ground test campaign. We opened a new test facility – set to become a national asset for high-Mach and hypersonic propulsion testing, and quickly brought it online with F100 engine tests. We expanded our Los Angeles footprint, grew the team across both coasts, and increased revenue 5x year over year. Now, 2025 is the year to fly fast. Quarterhorse Mk 1's first flight is imminent, and Mk 2 is on track to become the world’s first supersonic uncrewed aircraft later this year. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/eFrNEKcx

Business Insider recently visited HEAT – our new test facility in Jacksonville. HEAT unlocks low-cost propulsion testing, increasing America’s capacity and capability to test supersonic and hypersonic engines. This facility will help alleviate the massive hypersonic testing bottleneck in the US – not only for Hermeus but also for the DoD and its commercial partners. Fresh look at our Pratt & Whitney F100 testing at HEAT – this engine will power our supersonic aircraft, Quarterhorse Mk 2. We’ll continue to increase both capacity and capability at our HEAT facility with future phases introducing continuous high-Mach vitiated airflow to enable more flight-like supersonic and hypersonic testing conditions on the ground.
