Every couple of months, I like to challenge my team by asking them to take a step back and do an audit of any rules or processes we have in place that seemingly don’t need to exist - I call it “eliminating dumb rules”. Often when a company is in rapid growth mode, it’s easy for unnecessary rules to be put in place and go unnoticed - things that might actually be holding back your business. Every time without fail we’re able to identify unnecessary rules and eliminate them in a matter of days. Not only does this create more transparency across the wider team but it removes bottlenecks and allows us to move forward faster & better than before.
