Seventeen HFMA Central Ohio members participated in the Gives Back outreach event at Columbus Relief this past Saturday. Overall, the team was able to set up food and create care packages for the local homeless community then broke off into two teams to serve on site at the Parsons Ave location and go to Linden Area on Cleveland Ave at Duxbury Ave.   In all our group helped directly serve over 70 folks and families on Parsons and 72 people and families in Linden. Giving them sausage and egg breakfasts (cooked by our team) and serving soup after that ran out. One of our members was very proficient at making ready-made sandwiches as we waited for the soup to get done.   All-in-all the weather held down to a drizzle and hungry people were able to connect with a loving team that served them and provided a conduit to additional social services as need through Columbus Relief.
