Each year, one of our portfolio companies, RL James, hosts a charity golf tournament to support PROJECT: VetRelief, a cause dedicated to ensuring that our servicemen and women receive the support they need to thrive in civilian life. They provide assistance in times of immediate need, help secure benefits earned through service, and offer mentorship and encouragement. This year marked the 11th anniversary of the charity event, and we were honored to participate alongside the RL James team, as well as other vendors, clients, engineers, and friends. Together, we raised $86,100. The atmosphere on the golf course was not only fun but also deeply meaningful as we came together to support our veterans!

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners deal flow maintained its year-over-year outperformance despite a month-over-month slowdown in August. Our sourcing strategy continues to emphasize a broad range of intermediaries, which has historically helped mitigate the impact of broader market slowdowns. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, the significance of rate cuts and the upcoming election will likely dominate everyone’s attention.

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners portfolio company, Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., ("Rapid Pump") is seeking acquisition opportunities to complement organic growth. Rapid Pump, headquartered in Paterson, NJ, is a provider of pump and machinery repair and maintenance services to a variety of end markets, with a focus on water/wastewater but exposure to broader transportation, infrastructure, and other industrial markets. Headquartered in Buford, Georgia, ABR is a provider of Fire, Life & Safety services to commercial customers with a focus on inspection, service, and maintenance work. ABR specializes in inspecting, repairing, and upgrading fire sprinklers and other hazard detection systems. Hidden Harbor Capital Partners deal flow in July exceeded the same period last year and marked our second-highest monthly total this year. While there are macroeconomic challenges to be sure, the M&A market has continued to afford us opportunities – particularly in the smaller end of the market. As we approach what appears to be the inevitable start of a rate-cutting cycle, we are hopeful this will spur increased deal activity from all segments.

Another awesome Hidden Harbor Capital Partners social event is in the books! We had a great time during our Summer 2024 Pickleball Tournament at Diadem Sports – it was great to see both teamwork and competition in full swing across all skill levels amongst our colleagues.
