We set ambitious targets, expect unwavering commitment, and reward top performers. But, what if this relentless pursuit of high performance is actually leading our teams down a path of burnout, stress, and dissatisfaction? 🎯 Task and Objective: Our primary task is to shift our focus from high performance to sustainable performance. The objective? To create a work environment that fosters long-term productivity, engagement and well-being. 🔧 The Actions Taken: • Re-examined our performance metrics, emphasizing on quality over quantity. • Introduced flexible work hours and mental health days to reduce stress. • Provided training to managers about signs of burnout and how to help their teams avoid it. • Recognized and rewarded not just high performance, but also consistent performance and progress. ⭐ The Result: By altering our approach, we were able to not only maintain high levels of productivity but also improve team morale and reduce turnover. I’m not usually one to get sappy—I’ve got a bit of a reputation for being a hard a-- and I'm ok with that.
