Awesome to see our own Caitlin Foley, Esq. Foley provide case notes for an important matter featured in Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Lawyer Magazine.
I had the opportunity to write a case note for the Pennsylvania Family Lawyer Magazine on a topic that has been near and dear to my heart since my early days in law school. Check out my published article: Is Blood Really Thicker Than Water? The Significance of Biological Family Ties for Foster Children Hoping to be Adopted. https://lnkd.in/e5vnunrt

Mary Cushing Doherty was grateful to be in Harrisburg with the Nesbit family: Amy, Derek, and their daughter Denni, who continue to advocate in honor of their son and sibling William, lost too soon to leukemia. Together with the The The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Mary and others urged Pennsylvania legislators to support critical 2025 bills that will address the unfair burden of medical debt on patients and caregivers. Families facing cancer diagnoses should focus on healing, not on drowning in bills or worrying about whether their insurance will provide the care they need. They were fortunate to speak with several legislators, including Rep. Kathy Rapp, Holly Engle from Sen. Kristin Phillips-Hill’s office, and staff from Sen. Maria Tzanakis Collett's office, alongside Rep. Kerry Benninghoff, Matt McCarry, and others, about the importance of these reforms. #LLS #Advocacy #MedicalDebtReform #CancerCare #PAlegislation #FamiliesFirst (photos: The Nesbit family, with Rep.
