Being a sponsor of the Richard S. Caliguiri City of Pittsburgh Great Race is important to us. Each year, this largescale community fun run donates $1 from every registration to help support medical research through the Richard S. Caliguiri Amyloidosis Fund, held by The Pittsburgh Foundation. Amyloidosis is a rare protein disorder in which one or more organ systems in the body accumulate deposits of abnormal proteins known as amyloid. #HighmarkBrightBlueFutures

Alumni musicians from the Music Forward Foundation at The Met in Philadelphia, along with their peer musicians from the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, had the opportunity to open for headlining artists at The August Wilson African American Cultural Center's Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival — co-presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. We just celebrated the grant recipients of our second annual Highmark Bright Blue Futures Awards Program, made possible by the Highmark Foundation. Several non-profit organizations received grants totaling $490,000 for their efforts in advancing health equity.
