Menopause is a major life transition with well-known symptoms like irregular periods and hot flashes. But some 80% of women in menopause also experience sneakier symptoms like joint pain, muscle loss, inflammation, and more. Unfortunately, these interconnected symptoms are often treated in isolation, frustrating many women. Dr. Vonda Wright MD, MS, an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Central Florida, recently published a new review (https://lnkd.in/gtJKwDFT) to introduce the term “musculoskeletal syndrome of menopause” (MSM), which highlights the need for a holistic treatment approach for the myriad of musculoskeletal symptoms that occur during menopause. Hinge Health’s digital exercise therapy program is tailored specifically to address these symptoms, aligning with this emerging clinical recognition. We’re proud to pioneer digital support for MSM and offer personalized care for women during the menopause transition. Read more about MSM in our Learning Center article: https://lnkd.in/gCMeGwUa

We’re proud to continue our collaboration with the National Association of Black Physical Therapists, Inc, fostering diversity within the physical therapy profession through our Hinge Health Student Tuition Scholarship. This year's scholarship winner is Andre Whitley SPT, MS, CSCS, a passionate physical therapy student at the University of Missouri. Inspired by the profound impact physical therapy had on a family member with an MSK disorder, Andre embarked on his journey from Chaminade College Preparatory in St. Louis to Western Illinois University. There, he earned a bachelor's in exercise science and a master's in kinesiology, excelling as a Division 1 football player and a teaching assistant. Join us in congratulating Andre! We look forward to the positive impact he will make in the world of physical therapy.

⭐ To build a healthcare company that'll stand the test of time, requires building up from a bedrock of rigorous peer reviewed research validating clinical effectiveness, member experience and (the toughest to prove)... ROI!! 📊 🏥 Our latest study, published in BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, shows that Hinge Health members undergo 56% fewer spinal fusion surgeries compared to those who use traditional care options. This finding comes from a 24-month medical claims analysis involving 6,848 matched participants. 👩🎓 We see our outcomes everyday, but still - we were blown away by the results!! Helping people avoid invasive procedures while getting their health back. Plus this study adds to our growing body of peer-reviewed research, showing significant reductions in the three most costly MSK surgeries: spinal fusion, total knee replacement, and total hip replacement. Congrats to our team and thank you to our courageous members who trust us with their health everyday! More to come 🤞 🔖 Check out the paper here: https://lnkd.in/gwkGyUCT 📚 If you’re interested in diving deeper into our clinical research, you can read all of our studies here: https://lnkd.in/gfdnHq3r #digitalhealth #employerbenefits #clinicalresearch
