About us

Established in 1969 and admitted as a Local Partner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2001, Historic Fort Worth, Inc. is dedicated to preserving Fort Worth’s unique historic identity through stewardship, education and leadership. With headquarters at 1110 Penn Street, programs include the Preservation Resource Center & Library, membership tours, restoration and property management, gifts-of- property, façade easements, awards, endangered lists, heritage tourism, and economic incentive training for developers, Realtors and homeowners. Historic Fort Worth, Inc. owns, operates and restores the 1899 Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House and the 1904 Wharton-Scott House known as “Thistle Hill” and makes these two cattle baron mansions available to the public for educational tours and events.
