Such an amazing weekend in retreat with the Conscious Business Mastery crew. I’ve long navigated my career with a focus on growing at the intersection of human purpose and business performance. And so when it comes to my entrepreneurial journey, it has been such a gift to be in community, learning, partnership and collaboration with these incredible humans/ leaders/entrepreneurs/change-makers doing their own work at this very intersection. "Maybe it's less about finding your voice and more about remembering your voice." A few weekends ago, I had the opportunity to spend time IRL with the Acosta Institute (the same group that has taught me everything I know about AI...more on that below) at The Garrison Institute in upstate NY. And this week, we launched into their Healing Centered Education course, where I'm setting out to build the v2 curriculum of the Dream to Action framework I've developed over the past few years that drives HL3 Collective 's coaching and consulting work. It may sound a bit squishy for LinkedIn, but I like to say the THING. My approach as a coach and consultant starts with healing (yes, especially in the workplace). If we don't center healing, we cannot move into the other phases of my framework: Dream ➡ Define ➡ Action. I believe this applies to individuals and teams, from personal growth to business strategy. ✅ For individuals, if we don't address negative self-talk (stemming from our experiences), we're held back by it in life and career. ✅ For teams, if we don't confront interpersonal challenges, we remain stuck in the same dynamics that hinder progress. ✅ For strategy, if we don't take it on, we miss taking on critical roadblocks to growth; this is where we look through the lens of problem-solving (or what I like to call "pivot solving"). The numbers don't lie. Just look at a healing-centered tool like Positive Intelligence, which, when applied to organizations, shows 🤝 95% of participants improve teamwork 🙏 91% manage stress better 😁 85% report increased happiness The weekend with the Acosta crew was powerful because we started with rest, regeneration, healing, and remembering – preparing us to GO this week. So much amazing wisdom was shared, including: 💛 The power of being in retreat/offsite to tap into the best version of yourself ❤️ Burnout is real, and knowing when to pull back and restore is a practice 💙 Doing your work alone in the company of others (a concept I first learned from Rev. angel Kyodo williams) is different (and much more regenerative for all involved) than just doing it alone OR doing it while fully relying on others Fun fact: In addition to retreats, Acosta has taught me everything I know about AI and how to "be in relationship with" it.
