In this week’s TiNY Report, Chris Doyle, Peter Calleri, and Zoe Peppas take a look at two of the DTA’s most recent orders, one of which may make you say, “huh?” A petitioner actually hangs up on the judge not once, but twice. Then, she completely “ghosts” the remainder of the hearing. We can’t make this up! Just in time for the weekend, Chris Doyle and Peter Calleri have a new TiNY Report for us. This week, there’s one case that deals with the COVID-era convenience of the employer rule, where the petitioner claimed he was forced to work from his New Jersey home because of the sweeping closures during the beginning of the pandemic. Seems like a good reason, right? The Division didn’t agree. Another case will make you do a double-take – as the petitioner decides to “air her grievances” with the Division. “Seinfeld” fans may think of Festivus when reading this one.
