    When we decided in 2020 to open a Hoffmann Brothers location in Nashville, we started from scratch. We had nothing there: • no customers  • no employees  • no building • no reputation. We bought a building, and four team members moved from St. Louis to start the operation. We tapped Michael Barth to lead that team, and four years later, we've grown to: • A team of more than 40 full-time employees • Tens of thousands of customers served each year • Over 2,000 Home Protection Plan members  • An operation that is growing 30% or more annually. We expect that growth to continue over the next several years, but Mike will be transitioning to work closely with other parts of the Hoffmann Brothers brands. So I'm asking for your help with finding a new Director of Operations to continue driving our success in Nashville.     Last week, our president Matt Whiat hosted a leadership training at HBU focused on one of the most vital skills—advanced communication. Our leaders learned not only how to communicate more clearly and confidently in the workplace but also how to strengthen their personal relationships through better understanding and connection. By working in groups and reflecting on real-life scenarios, they gained valuable insights into how communication shapes both their personal and professional lives. It's exciting to see our team continuously grow in ways that empower them to lead with impact and authenticity!

    THIS is our WHY when it comes to Hoffmann Brothers University. It is an incredible feeling to know that others see things the way we do. We will continue to educate the younger generations about our trades and encourage those who want to get involved. Thank you, Brian, for this kind shoutout to one of our plumbers and for sharing this!

    I want to encourage kids, and parents, especially high schoolers who are wondering if there’s any other option besides the university. The plumber that’ll be replacing my kitchen stack tomorrow is 23. He’s doing the job by himself. Hoffmann Brothers has their own university, he went completely free of charge (only had to buy his initial tool set from them, $1,500). He was professional, competent, and happy to be earning a solid living without extravagant debt. There’s other choices. The trades are invaluable and communities will always need them. Let’s start offering this at the middle school and high school level.

Here is what this looked like as we've grown from $13 million to $140 million. 2016: $13 million revenue Added 100% paid health insurance (roughly $18k per team member for family coverage). 2017: $18 million revenue Awarded all PTO days on the date of hire with no waiting period. 2019: $30 million revenue Doubled 401k match from 4% to 8%. 2020: $40 million revenue Eliminated onerous 24/7/365 "on-call" - when you get home at the end of the day, that time is yours. 2021: $56 million revenue Added 2 additional paid holidays (Black Friday and Christmas Eve), bringing total paid holidays up to 8 per year. 2022: $80 million revenue Launched "Hoffmann Brothers University" which enables team members to reach their full professional potential. 2023: $105 million revenue Added 1 additional week of 100% paid parental leave.   Added 1 additional flex holiday, bringing total holidays to 9. It’s important to us to recognize the people on the front line when it comes to providing the services that earned us this award. We are proud of our plumbing teams, both above and underground, and we appreciate the dedicated individuals who contribute to their success!

    Kicking off this Tuesday with The Hoffmann Football League! See Lawrence, one of our Nashville leaders playing referee this morning working to motivate our team of field professionals with a friendly football competition. It’s times like these when we realize how lucky we are not only for our leaders, but for every employee who shows up everyday!

    After Chris Hoffmann visited our office here in Nashville recently, one of my team members said, "I can't believe Chris knew my name." This team member had joined Hoffmann Brothers after working at another company for years. He never even met the CEO and was sure that CEO had no idea what his name was. That's one of the things that makes Hoffmann Brothers different. Even though we have 450 employees at HB, when Chris and Joe Hoffmann walk down the hall, they know everyone by name. That level of personal attention is baked into the culture. It feels better to work somewhere where the leaders know their teams. Doesn't it?
