From a single empty classroom with nothing but tables and chairs to a fully equipped building with specialized classrooms for each trade, our journey at HBU has been incredible. What started in 2022 with minimal training materials has evolved into a state of the art facility where every system you see, water heaters, HVAC equipment, toilets, and appliances - is fully functioning. And the best part? Our trainees are full-time, paid employees from day one. This is how we train the next generation of skilled professionals. This is the future of our company. #FullTimePaidTraining #Growth #TrainingSuccess #BuildingTheFuture #HBU #HoffmannBrothersUniversity #HoffmannBros #HoffmannBrothers

  • For the months of February and March, we’re proud to continue our tradition of giving back to Stray Rescue of St. Louis! A portion of all sales will be donated to support their incredible mission of saving animals in need. This year marks 11 years of partnership, and we appreciate it more and more each year!🐶💙 This past week, we kicked off this year’s partnership in the best way possible, hosting "Doggy Day Care" at our office! Stray Rescue fosters dropped off their pups for a fun-filled day with our team, and it was nothing but tail wags, belly rubs, and happy hearts.🐾❤️ We’re so grateful for this ongoing partnership and for everyone who helps make a difference. Every service you schedule supports this incredible cause! #StrayRescueSTL #GivingBack #Adopt #ProudPartners

  • Being a service organization, Hoffmann Brothers view the extreme weather in Saint Louis as a chance to improve lives in every home. Here’s a message from our president, Matt Whiat, to our team members on the privilege of service. If you are a customer of ours, thank you for your trust and patience as we safely navigate the current perils of getting to your home. “Team, I was traveling through Germany in the winter a few years back. It was bitter cold, snow and ice on the ground, with limited visibility. At the airport was a tourism sign for the capital city of Finland, Helsinki. It said, “Nobody in their right mind would come to Helsinki in winter. Except you, you badass. Welcome.” Not everyone can do what we do. Not everyone is built to answer the frantic calls for help. To dig their vehicle out of the snow. To carefully brave the road conditions and other drivers. To put in the extra hours. To go the extra mile. Not everyone is built to rally to the need of others at great inconvenience to themselves and their comfort. But we are. It’s what makes us a service company. We don’t “improve lives in every home” only when it’s fair skies and 70s. We do it year-round, in all the seasons. In some ways, this recent weather is a gift. It’s a chance for each of us, regardless of where we sit or what function we provide, to show up as heroes when others cannot or will not. We get the chance to save the day by answering a call with greater empathy and understanding (both to our customers and team members). We get the privilege to go to even greater lengths to describe the options and provide more education to our customers. We have the opportunity, one human interaction at a time, to show up and serve. It is the very nature of our business. Winter is just allowing us to prove it. That said, it takes extra effort. As expected, we are experiencing heavier than normal phone calls of people in our community, HPP members and soon to be members, needing our services right away. We don’t foresee this demand waning in the coming days, in fact, we see it getting busier. Thank you for putting in the extra hours and effort it takes to help our customers—those people who are relying on us now more than ever for our services. To ensure we can meet their needs during this time, I kindly ask for your support by being flexible with your schedules and committing to extra hours in the coming days. Your dedication and hard work have always made a difference, and I know we will navigate this period together with the same level of teamwork and care. Lastly, and most importantly, nothing we do here is worth getting hurt over. Look after yourself and each other. When you travel, keep the tank as close to full as possible, have warm weather gear with you at all times, and give yourself more space and time on the road. Contact your leader if something doesn’t feel right or is unsafe. Service to others does not come at the expense of your safety. Let’s Go.”

Vice President at Hoffmann Brothers HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical

We started Hoffmann Brothers University to help more people begin careers in the skilled trades. So far, we've had: • 15 students graduate from 3 plumbing classes; • 6 students complete our first HVAC class earlier this year; and • 6 students graduate from our first appliance repair class that just ended. We also opened our new 30,000 sq ft training facility here in St. Louis that is now the home of HBU. If you're interested in pursuing a career in the trades, HBU is worth considering. We offer: • An intensive 7-month program • Paid training (comparable programs at trade schools cost $32,000) • Health insurance for students and their families • A 401k Match • Licensed Journeymen instructors • 8 paid holidays. Plus, the targeted curriculum and hands-on learning mean you’ll be accelerating toward your own service truck with Hoffmann Brothers, fast-growing, people-focused industry leader. 2024 has been HBU's biggest year by far, and we're starting 2025 by opening applications for our second HVAC class. If you are interested in applying (or know someone who might be), here’s the application link: https://lnkd.in/abc1234. I’m really proud of all our graduates and our HBU team, led by Lorna McClellan, who’ve made this year one to celebrate.

  • Leadership in the Home Services Industry Isn't Just About Skills—It's About People Last week, we hosted Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute at Hoffmann Brothers University for their Truly Human Leader Program. Leaders from home services companies across the country gathered to explore the power of people-focused leadership. Hoffmann Brothers and Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute share a core belief: great leadership drives success through the combination of technical expertise and human connections. Jami Dix led the Truly Human Leader program, focusing on self-awareness, authentic leadership, emotional intelligence, and coaching—essential tools for empowering teams, building trust, and delivering exceptional results. Hosting this training at Hoffmann Brothers University offered two unique experiences: an engaging presentation and Q&A session with our CEO Chris Hoffmann and an exclusive tour of our state-of-the-art training facility and warehouse operations. Interested in Chapman & Co.'s Truly Human Leader program? Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gKCcyCUu At Hoffmann Brothers University, we're always seeking innovative partnerships to elevate the skilled trades. Have ideas about potential collaboration? We'd love to hear from you. Let's keep raising the bar for leadership in home services. #LeadershipDevelopment #TrulyHumanLeadership #HoffmannBrothers #HomeServices #PeopleFirst
