It's #PublicPowerWeek, the time when we celebrate everything special about #communtityowned utilities. Mutual Aid is one aspect that is very special, highlighting the comradery of Public Power utilities. In the wake of Hurricane Milton, utility members of the Michigan Municipal ElectricAssociation (MMEA) were called for help. Today, Holland BPW has four line workers heading to Orlando, Florida. Our crews are joined by Grand Haven Board of Light & Power, Zeeland BPW, City of Niles, Lowell Light and Power, and City of Sturgis. Holland BPW is grateful for all of our line workers and proud to support the call for Mutual Aid. #MMEA #APPA

At the Holland BPW Water Treatment Plant, we treat and filter water from Lake Michigan. This ensures healthy drinking water for our community and customers. Our skilled water staff provide excellence in water quality and use our water source responsibly. Our Water Treatment Plant’s state-certified laboratory and independent third-party laboratories perform over 60,000 tests per year.
