Happy “Gotcha Day,” Hollis! 🐾 Conference season simply would not be the same without the Hollis Cobb puppies. At HFMA Region 5’s 2024 South Eastern Summit, one furry friend would leave the shelter for the last time; finding her forever home with a loving family. “Hollis,” as she was affectionately named, caught the eyes of the Brackett family who simply had to have her. She was adopted on the spot. One year later, she eats everything in sight, loves to play with Misty and Ed’s grandbaby Asher, and still thinks she is a lap dog. So many at Hollis Cobb are animal lovers and supporters of their local shelters. While adorable puppies at our booths certainly help draw crowds, we have led a number of sheltered animals to families that will give them an incredible life. Congratulations, Tamika Nash, CPC, CPAR! 🥂 The entire team at Hollis Cobb celebrates Tamika Nash as she recently graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Healthcare Administration from Strayer University. Although Tamika works full time as a Senior Key Client Executive at Hollis Cobb, she managed to graduate with a 3.69 grade point average.   Studying and taking classes and exams online after a full day of work was challenging, but Tamika said she was up for the challenge to further her education. She said she was able to apply what she learned in her leadership, management and business courses immediately to her day-to-day job responsibilities, adding that she believes the knowledge she gained will make her a stronger asset to Hollis Cobb and serve her well as she advances in her career.   With 27 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, Tamika still never wants to stop learning and improving the excellent service she provides to her clients. Over the years, Tamika has worked as a collector, customer service manager, client services director, in management information systems, and currently senior key client executive. Now that she has completed her Healthcare Administration degree, Tamika has joined Toast Masters with the goal of working on her public speaking skills and further enhancing the monthly presentations she does for her clients.   Tamika has also vowed to become more active with Georgia Chapter HFMA. She holds her CPAR (Certified Patient Accounts Representative) certification from the organization, and plans to use her skills and knowledge to volunteer with one of the HFMA committees that provide continuing education for its members.   Although she stays very busy with work and related responsibilities, Tamika still finds time to spend on leisure activities that she enjoys. She loves to cook, and is a certified personal chef. Her two adult sons, ages 30 and 23, definitely benefit from her love of cooking. She also enjoys doing home renovations and has done all of the renovations to her home on her own including installing tile, laying new flooring, hanging cabinets, painting, wallpapering and even some electrical work. But, her favorite activity is traveling.
