    * DPW Annual Public Meeting to Discuss Sanitary Sewer Consent Decree * The Environmental Protection Agency and the Maryland Department of the Environment have ordered Baltimore City to expand a program that helps homeowners who have suffered a sewage backup due to problems in the city's aging sewer pipes, fulfilling a longtime demand of community organizations, environmental advocates, and impacted residents. Sewage backups can be devastating for residents and render a home uninhabitable, and our organizations urge the city to quickly and completely adopt the regulators’ recommendations. * Come ask questions! * What is the plan to help community members that experience a sewage back up in their home, wet or dry weather? Is there still a 10 mile backup of sewage beneath the city? Is the "hydraulic restriction" fixed? How does this affect Baltimore City residents, especially those who have experienced basement back ups? 6pm, Thursday January 18th, 2024. 1800 Washington Blvd. Baltimore, MD. 21230 -Courtesy of Blue Water Baltimore https://lnkd.in/et9H3iDp
