Our final supply drive shipment left on Monday to the mountains — this time, driven by Alice Helmly, wife of our CEO, Will Helmly! Both Alice and Will have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to support our efforts. In addition to being in constant contact with communities in Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee, they've purchased power tools, coats, hats, gloves, food items, and more! And they didn't stop there. They have personally sorted and packed every donation to ensure a smooth delivery to those in need. Alice even included handwritten notes of encouragement on the boxes from all of us in the Lowcountry. They are both overjoyed by the outpouring of support from Home Telecom employees and our incredible community. Thank you all for coming together to help Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee in this time of need!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the supply drive for Western North Carolina! We’ve received so many generous donations that we’re making multiple trips to the mountains. Our first trip is happening today, with Lonnie Mizzell leading the way, hauling a trailer full of supplies. If you remember, Lonnie just returned on Wednesday after helping restore service in the upstate, and now he’s headed back out—this time, to deliver much-needed items, including a pressure washer and food, before checking on his family’s home in the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area following the hurricane. Lonnie’s selflessness is inspiring, and we wish him safe travels today. We will keep everyone updated on the next trip early next week. We couldn’t have done this without you all! It’s been truly humbling to watch everything come together. Thank you for your support!♥️
