In honor of this being our 5th year of A Night in the Cold, we’re giving you FIVE easy ways to participate in and support this impactful event! 1. Register to Participate – Pledge to sleep outside on Friday, December 6th and register – it’s as easy as that! Registration fee is $35 and the website will have all of the details on how your pledge and fundraising can make an impact. Will You Give One Night? 2. Create a Team –Tell your family, friends, co-workers, church groups, sport teams, etc. about ANITC and have them register with you to create a team! You can even get competitive and go toe-to-toe with another team to see who can fundraise the most! 3. Get Social! Spread the word by posting on your social media accounts. Then, document your experience the night of! Don’t forget to tag Homeless Solutions and to include the hashtag #hsinightinthecold! 4. Be a Champion – Can you pledge to be a Champion for us by raising $10,000 for our homeless neighbors in need? 5. Instead of sobering statistics on this #WorldHomelessDay, we’d like to share our appreciation with all of our supporters and partners who help ensure we can provide a Hand Up to the homeless and at risk in our community. So far in 2024, we’ve sheltered 185 unhoused people between our Main Shelter and Transitional Housing Program. Recently HSI’s Associate Director of Donor Partnerships Kathleen DeSantis had the pleasure of speaking to the teens and families of the Morris County chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. about our programs. We’re so grateful that the night before, MCJJ families joined together to cook for our shelter guests. MCJJ teens also prepare and serve breakfast to our guests several times a year as well. We appreciate our partnership with MCJJ, especially having members Stacyann Bullen on our Corporate Advisory Council and Nancy Davis on our Board of Trustees and are excited to see it continue to grow!
