Homewood Suites by Hilton

One of the true pleasures of my role is the time I spend on property. The conversations I have with team members and guests will always be something I treasure. This week, while visiting hotels in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, I had one such connection. While at the beautiful Homewood Suites Ottawa Downtown, I was introduced to Sally. Sally is a long term guest who has chosen to make the hotel her home. During our conversation, she happened to mention her passion for music and referenced the song Mustage Sally. Now here is where the story gets crazy! The car that I rented from National Car Rental was a red convertible mustang. Now for those of you that know me, you know that the last car I would ever rent would be a red convertible mustang! Let me just say that there was divine intervention at play! Here is where hospitality takes over. My partners in crime, Kayla Pennington and Jessica Lu, agreed that it would be an awesome idea to invite Sally for top down, music playing, tour of Ottawa downtown. Sally willingly accepted the invitation. I thought you might like to see the video. Isn’t hospitality wonderful? Thank you Wayne Day and Kristina Fox, MATM for making Sally’s dream come true. So very special.

This puppy won my heart - but will he win the "race" to be the 11 Millionth adoption in our in store program? Stay tuned! It was enough time to get him started on potty training, learning to sit, and leash walking skills that will serve him well in his new home. And walking around Philadelphia he met so many people that would not have otherwise seen him - so he was able to market himself to potential adopters in a way that an online profile just doesn't do justice. If you're a shelter, please consider all the foster options - day trips, overnights, foster to adopt, everything! And if you're a pet lover, you can help a pet get adopted in just a night or a weekend (and maybe even boost your own social life along the way). Huge shout out to ACCT Philly for getting Razer healthy and ready for adoption, to Homewood Suites by Hilton for being our pet friendly home on the road, and to PetSmart for 30 years of commitment to pet adoption.
