We’re proud to announce that Honigman’s Chicago office achieved 100% participation from our attorneys to support the The Chicago Bar Association’s annual Investing in Justice Campaign. This initiative unites Chicago’s legal community with a mission to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, has access to necessary legal help. To raise funds and support this effort, our Chicago team incorporated some friendly competition with in-office games like trivia, putt-putt, cornhole, and Bingo. A huge thank you to all our attorneys for their enthusiastic involvement and to the Chicago Bar Foundation for their work to provide justice to all. #HonigmanChicago #Justice

Honigman is proud to observe Hispanic Heritage Month and take time to reflect on the meaning it has for our attorneys. Today, we share Honigman partner Nola Garcia Pickman’s testimonial of how her culture has shaped who she is today. “Hispanic Heritage Month is an important time to celebrate the Latinx community so that the younger generation can see themselves reflected in those who have paved the way before them. This month has always been an important month for me because it’s a period dedicated to highlighting the remarkable achievements of individuals in the Latinx community. Within the legal landscape, I strive to be a resource for younger attorneys, especially those who are first-generation professionals like me. Navigating a legal career can be challenging, and I find it essential to support and mentor those who may be facing similar obstacles. Even though each minority group encounters unique challenges, there is a strong sense of solidarity and mutual support here at Honigman among all of us who identify as people of color that helps us overcome these hurdles together. Looking ahead, I hope to see the legal industry continue to focus on hiring diverse professionals, whether that’s defined by their ethnicity, socio-economic, or educational backgrounds. When future law students see professionals who look like them in the careers they aspire to, it makes those dreams feel more attainable and real. Hispanic Heritage Month is not just a time for reflection but also a call to action to continue advancing diversity and inclusion in all areas of our lives, including the legal profession.” #HispanicHeritageMonth #Diversity Read more about Hispanic Heritage Month here: https://lnkd.in/gxnTc2Zc.
