HonorHealth was proud to be named “Large Corporation of the Year” at the 2024 Supplier Diversity Awards summit! At HonorHealth, we understand the importance of ensuring the sustainability of our supply chain. Several years ago, we launched a Supplier Diversity Program to leverage industry best practices and propel our diversity and inclusivity initiatives. Our commitment to building an equitable and inclusive healthcare supply chain benefits the communities we serve. The Healthcare Supplier Diversity Awards recognize individuals and organizations that are actively making an impact in advancing and championing greater diversity in the healthcare supply chain. Thank you to Owens & Minor and the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA) for this meaningful recognition. 🤝

Last Friday, HonorHealth hosted a jam-packed physician and advanced practice provider social bringing together hundreds of experts from a variety of specialties to network and reconnect. Special events like our socials help us foster strong relationships with our network of 3,500+ physicians, creating a culture of collaboration and well-being that ripples across the organization. We value the incredible work these physicians and APPs do and are proud to partner with them to deliver exceptional care to our community.

Eager to get a taste of Hispanic Heritage Month? Meet Christina Valencia, who has served as an entrée cook at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center for the last 34 years. “I’m from Jalisco, Mexico. That’s where my roots are and where I learned to cook from my mom,” Christina says. “I really enjoy making salsas, since it’s always easy and fun to do." Her passion has led to back-to-back wins at the annual Hispanic Heritage Month event put on by our CULTURA People Resource Group. Team members and patients are invited to join a blind taste test of salsas to pick a winner. Award-winning recipes aren’t often shared. But Christina’s salsa is available for everyone to try. “I always give the recipe to anyone who asks for it and try to have it in stock on a weekly basis,” she says. Buena suerte to all of this year's competitors!
