Happy World Mental Health Day! Today is a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. Let’s take a moment to check in with ourselves and those around us. Whether it’s through self-care, reaching out for support, or simply starting a conversation, every step counts toward breaking the stigma.

Health Cares About Domestic Violence Day. We stand in solidarity with survivors and raise awareness of the critical link between health and domestic violence. Healthcare providers are often the first to see the warning signs, making it essential to foster environments where survivors feel safe, supported, and heard.

Today, October 10th, 2024, we celebrate World Mental Health Day. The World Federation for Mental Health, the founder of World Mental Health Day, presents the WFMH Global Campaign 2024 year’s official theme- ‘It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace’. As leaders in the behavioral health industry, we believe it is necessary to speak to our employees about how they focus on their personal mental wellness at home and in the workplace and share why they chose to work in the behavioral health field. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAwareness #ThisisHorizonHealth #HorizonHealth #BehavioralHealthSolutions

Everyone is impacted by mental health conditions – including the friends, family, and coworkers who do not live with a mental health condition themselves. One in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences a mental health condition each year, which impacts those who know and love them. Since 1990, Americans have celebrated the first full week of October as Mental Illness Awareness Week after the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI lobbied Congress to create this critical awareness event. This year, Mental Illness Awareness Week is October 6 – 12 and World Mental Health Day is October 10. We believe that mental health issues are important to discuss all year, and we are thrilled to participate in a global conversation during this awareness week. Johan Smith, our VP of Health Informatics, shares how we can support ourselves and our loved ones. We encourage you to join us in promoting mental wellness throughout Mental Illness Awareness Week, and especially on World Mental Health Day. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #MentalHealthAwareness #ThisisHorizonHealth #HorizonHealth #BehavioralHealthSolutions
