We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Anchor Glass on a repair project for the conveyor line known as "21 Shop" at their Shakopee plant. Over the course of four weeks, our Millwrights team worked on this conveyor line to remove outdated inspection equipment, reconfigure and expand the conveyor line from one to four lines, install new inspection equipment, and fabricate / install an extended overhead catwalk to the 21 Shop conveyor line. These updates modernized the inspection equipment, expanded production capacity, and improved accessibility to the conveyor line. We’re proud of the outstanding work our Millwrights team delivered on this project and look forward to similar work on the “12 Shop” line in the coming weeks. When it comes to the installation, repair, or maintenance of industrial machinery, we take pride in assisting industrial facilities in planning and executing projects that enhance efficiency and output. If you require any of these services, contact us to discuss how our expert Millwrights team can support you in achieving smooth, uninterrupted production! #Millwrights #HorwitzCapabilites #IndustrialServices

In support of today’s Construction Inclusion Week theme of Supplier Diversity, we’re excited to highlight our partnership with Integrity HVAC Services, a business both woman-owned and veteran-founded. Our partnership is facilitated through the City of St. Paul’s Construction Partnering Program (CPP), who partners with the Association of Women Contractors (AWC) to connect minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) with majority construction firms. This partnership creates opportunities for underrepresented groups and provides mentoring, networking, support groups, technical assistance, education, and training for M/WBEs. Since our partnership began, Integrity HVAC and Horwitz have worked on several projects in 2024, providing mutual support in manpower and resources. Most recently, Integrity HVAC has taken the lead as the primary contractor for a project with SB Foot Tanning Company, a subsidiary of Red Wing Shoes, with Horwitz contributing expertise in sheet metal and insulation. By sharing resources and knowledge, we’re boosting project efficiency and cultivating a supportive network that encourages growth and development for both companies. #WomenInConstruction #ConstructionPartnering #DiversityAndInclusion #AWCMN #Empowerment #CommunityBuilding

It’s bittersweet to announce that Randy Smith is retiring after nearly two decades with Horwitz! Randy has been an invaluable member of our team, contributing to numerous projects and taking on various roles throughout his career, ultimately retiring from the design team. His insights and guidance have been instrumental in shaping the design group into what it is today. We sincerely appreciate his dedication and the significant impact he’s made during his time with us. His presence and leadership will be greatly missed. Horwitz recently partnered with team members from Mortenson for an incredible day of giving back with Hearts & Hammers ! Together, over 30 volunteers helped restore a beautiful 2.5-story home in Saint Paul, built in 1845 and owned by a 76-year-old disabled homeowner who's lived there for over 52 years. We painted the house and garage, tackled yard work, and completed some minor carpentry to bring new life to the residence. Hearts & Hammers’ mission to help low-income seniors, disabled individuals, and veterans stay in the homes they love truly inspires us. Thank you to everyone who came together to make this restoration possible. #TogetherAnythingIsPossible #CommunityFirst #GivingBack #HeartsAndHammers #Partnership

We’re excited to share progress on Project Black Bear. In partnership with Ryan Companies US, Inc., when complete, the new facility will house offices, R&D labs and customer training space for Boston Scientific. With the project approximately 20% complete, we’re on track for a completion date around this time next year. To enhance efficiency, and keep the project on-track, work has been divided into four distinct areas (A, B, C, D) across three floors. We recently completed the underground plumbing and have begun to focus on the second and third floors, with the third floor scheduled for completion in December. Our in-house prefabrication capabilities have been instrumental in our progress, allowing us to combine multiple trades into comprehensive racks for the duct and piping systems. This approach has not only streamlined our workflow but also helped us maintain a strong focus on safety. So far, our team has worked around 27,000 hours without a lost time injury! A huge thank you to our team for their hard work and dedication to making this project a success! #ProjectBlackBear #ConstructionUpdate #TeamWork #SafetyFirst #Mechanical #Plumbing #LifeSciences #BostonScientific
