Providing care, support, advocacy, and education to people in Erie County who are facing serious illness and loss.
About us
Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo (HPCB) cares for individuals suffering from serious illness, as well as their families and caregivers. We provide an integrative, holistic (physical, emotional, social, and spiritual) approach to care that focuses on the whole person rather than on individual symptoms. We are here through a continuum of care, spanning the course of the disease through bereavement. Our knowledgeable, compassionate staff helps patients make choices about their care, support those who are grieving, and educate the professional and lay communities on optimum end-of-life experiences.

Thank you to all who joined us for the WNY Perinatal Bereavement Network’s Walk to Remember, this past Sunday at Cheektowaga Town Park, in honor of Pregnancy and Infant loss Awareness Month. It was a special gathering as we paid tribute to the approximately 870,000 babies who die each year due to miscarriage, ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, stillbirth, or early infant death. We are privileged to take part in this important day of remembrance. It’s that time of year to kick off our annual appeal. Many thanks to the volunteers who serve on our Signature Society and provide handwritten notes of support to the thousands of letters that will be going out to our donors later in the month. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gut-7_2W

A heartfelt thank you to the Design Studio at Ethan Allen of WNY for including us in their Grand Reveal celebration and for presenting us with a $500,000 check, representing an endowment generously bequeathed by the late Jane Taylor, local co-owner of Ethan Allen. Jane, a dedicated hospice volunteer for many years, wanted to leave a lasting legacy to support Essential Care for Children—HPCB’s home-based palliative care program for medically complex children and their families. We are deeply grateful for Jane’s extraordinary gift and for the overwhelming love and support shared in the showroom last night! If you would like to learn more on how to create your own legacy, please contact Bri Williams at (716)-989-2261 or email her at bwilliams@palliativecare.org.
