Happy National Primary Care Week! Although healthcare is crucial year-round, the first week of October is dedicated to honoring our primary care providers and highlighting the crucial role they play. At Crescent Hospice, we recognize the significant impact these providers have had in shaping your health choices throughout your life. When hospice care is chosen, we stress the importance of maintaining involvement with your primary doctors and nurses to ensure continuity of care is kept as your needs change. A sincere thank you to all dedicated primary care providers for the invaluable work you do! #NationalPrimaryCareWeek #HealthcareHeroes #PrimaryCareProviders #HealthChoicesMatter #ConsistentCare

Yesterday, the Florence team helped sponsor the Breast Cancer Brunch at The Leatherman Senior Center. The event had an amazing turn out. The guest speaker shared a moving story of survival and resilience, truly inspiring everyone present. Our dedicated Community Liaison, Shelia, also spoke about hospice services and addressed various questions from attendees. It was a touching experience that exemplified our commitment to impacting lives positively. #BreastCancerAwareness #NeverAlone #CommunityEvent #OurCareFamily

This October, we’re dedicating Breast Cancer Awareness Month to more than just spreading awareness—we want to emphasize that "No one should face breast cancer alone." Breast cancer is the most common cancer globally, with around 2.3 million new cases diagnosed every year. It represents one in eight cancer cases across both sexes, making it a crucial focus for education and action. We kick off the month with our "Go Pink" initiative, encouraging you to wear a pink ribbon or any pink clothing item to symbolize solidarity with the countless lives affected by breast cancer. It's also a reminder to educate yourself about the signs, symptoms, and available treatment options. Breast cancer touches many lives, whether it's your mother, wife, daughter, friend, or even yourself. Early detection significantly improves survival rates and broadens treatment options. Let's work together to support, educate, and advocate for those affected by breast cancer. #BreastCancerAwareness #GoPink #YouAreNotAlone
