At the end of September, we hosted an investor tour to provide a comprehensive look at two of our premier San Diego properties: Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and Grand Hyatt San Diego. This event highlighted significant investments and future plans for these iconic assets. Investors got a preview of the Hyatt Transformational Capital Program investments at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, showcasing upcoming enhancements like all-new guestrooms, renovated dining outlets and updated meeting spaces. The tour continued next door at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina where we proudly presented recent Marriott Transformational Capital Program investments, including upgraded guestrooms, a revitalized M Club lounge and a new ballroom expansion. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we proudly came together as a company to celebrate the rich culture, history and contributions of the Hispanic community and our colleagues. Consistent with our commitment to inclusion and belonging, we extended our celebration to honor both Hispanic and Latinx heritage, recognizing the diverse backgrounds of our employees. Hosted by Mari Sifo, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, the event featured heartfelt reflections from Adriana Gonzalez Collins and Bruna Perlingeiro, who shared their unique stories and experiences. The celebration continued with an incredible musical performance by Adriana accompanied by a Mariachi band and a captivating Argentine tango performance by Maria Chow. Host partnered with Rock Creek Conservancy to wrangle and remove invasive plants and weeds around the Rock Creek Park Nature Center in Washington, D.C. By removing these non-native, invasive plant species, employee volunteers worked to help restore and ensure the resilience of Rock Creek Park's forests, protect the wildlife who rely on native plants for habitat, and help preserve Rock Creek Park as a place for recreation and sanctuary and a gem in our nation's capital. We recently held our seventh Host Challenge, a special event that brings employees together from across the company to promote creative thinking, team building and innovation. The topic for this year’s challenge was “Creating Value with Generative AI.” Three teams presented corporate use cases for GenAI and the potential impact to Host; three other teams were assigned a Host property and explored GenAI applications that could enhance the guest experience or improve operations. The grand finale: participants presented their findings to our senior leaders, who evaluated the value and feasibility of the use cases and creativity and quality of the presentations. Overall, the judges found all the presentations to be impressive and incredibly engaging, but ultimately decided on a corporate use case winner and a property use case winner. We look forward to exploring how these insights can be leveraged at Host and at our properties.  Congratulations to all of our employees who participated in this year’s Host Challenge. #HostChallenge

We are thrilled to unveil the newly transformed and rebranded coastal haven, The Singer Oceanfront Resort, now a member of the Curio Collection by Hilton. We have dramatically increased the number of LEED®-certified properties in Host's portfolio. In 2024 alone, we've added six additional properties with U.S. Green Building Council LEED certification to our portfolio, bringing the total to 20 properties with LEED certification, including four LEED Gold hotels as well as Host’s corporate headquarters. Our latest LEED certifications include Washington Marriott at Metro Center (LEED Silver), The Ritz-Carlton, Naples (LEED Silver) and The Westin Denver Downtown (LEED Silver), along with our recent acquisitions—1 Hotel Nashville (LEED Silver) and Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown (LEED Silver) as well as 1 Hotel Central Park (LEED Certified). Additionally, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, which had previously received LEED Silver certification for Marriott Hall, achieved LEED Gold certification for its transformational renovation of the guestroom towers.   With these latest certifications and acquisitions, 24.7% of our portfolio is LEED-certified with nearly 8 million square feet of LEED-certified space, and we are on track toward achieving our target of having 40% of our consolidated hotels achieve LEED green building certification by 2030.   Host is the first lodging REIT to issue green bonds and allocate proceeds to LEED projects, and the only lodging REIT to have green building certifications linked to our sustainable financing.   Congratulations to our newest LEED-certified hotels! https://lnkd.in/eg3Fbecr #HostESG #LEED #sustainability #environmentalstewardship
