Houston is an essential city. To the world. Our people are vital. We must be functional come hell, wind or high water.
The week has flown by. An intense week of work and juggling critical projects - neglected to share this highpoint. Thank you Katie Mehnert for the opportunity to share this message. https://lnkd.in/gnN_j8p3

Last night Fox26 Houston stopped by the GRIT Awards & Best Energy Workplaces celebration during the inaugural Houston Energy and Climate Week to speak with Sivasankaran ‘Soma’ Somasundaram, president and CEO of ChampionX. “It’s important that energy sources evolve towards a lower carbon future and we at ChampionX have been working on that,” says Soma. ‘The GRIT Awards recognize leaders who are driving significant change in the energy industry. My congratulations to Soma for his Lifetime Achievement and to Champion X for being champions for people and culture and its commitment to excellence in everything they do,” says Katie Mehnert founder and CEO of ALLY Energy.

T minus 24 hours until we close the first-ever Houston Energy and Climate Week. Get your seats for closing as we host Climate Group's #NYCClimateWeek's Adam Lake. We also have a special guest, artist, singer, songwriter, and Houston native, Fernando Moguel, joining us along with keynote, James Keyes, former CEO of Blockbuster and 7-Eleven, and our closing panel on "Reimagining American Energy" with Bill Shireman, Elizabeth Carlson, Trevor Best, Jason Fischer, MBA and Adam Lake. Energy, medicine, sports, government, and many others are represented in this conversation because energy and climate are everyone's responsibility. In Houston, we're showing the country and the world how we do hard things. Get seats, learn about our big plans for 2025, and participate in this historic event at the University of St. Thomas (TX) Jones Hall. (Sound on!) I am overwhelmed with gratitude! Thrilled to share that the book is Amazon’s #1 New Release: Women & Business #1 New Release: Perosnal Success in Business #1 New Release: Health & Stress and we’re just getting started! Thank you for an amazing launch of #TheRebalancingAct! Special thanks to David Reid, Allison Hablinski, Brittany Diaz and everyone at NOV for hosting the launch event, and to Katie Mehnert for your vision to include this as part of the inaugural Houston Energy and Climate Week! Such a powerful metaphor to consider: as we seek energy sustainability for our world, how we sustain our personal energy to show up and give our best every day is critical as well. I am honored to have been part of this important event! #hecw #author #workingwomen #haveitall #balance #worklifebalance with Bethany Bradsher, Renee Bacon, Colleen Smith, Donna Graves, Laurie Kosek, Britten Richards, MS, PHR and others
