The Houston Housing Authority (HHA) is thrilled to share that we've been awarded $704,046 in Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) vouchers through HUD's 2024 NOFO. These vouchers will make a significant impact on the lives of young adults transitioning out of foster care by providing them with stable housing as they pursue independence and success.    With these 52 FYI vouchers added to our existing 25, we now have 77 FYI vouchers! This expansion underscores our dedication to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. We are grateful to HUD for their partnership in making this achievement possible.   We are also proud to partner with the HAY Center and the Department of Family and Protective Services in this effort to support our youth.
