HowGiving is a 501(c)(3) founded with the purpose of priming the pump of biblical generosity within the Western Christian community. The WHY behind this non-profit is The Giving Movement … the idea that we were designed to be as generous as our Heavenly Father is generous. How generous was he? Well, He gave his only Son to His enemies, to save a bunch of rebels who had turned against Him. So, what are we to do with our time, talent and treasure, especially as business professionals with the propensity to make lots and lots of money? Are we to funnel that surplus into our own comfort and control, fighting like a honey badger to maintain the cushion we hold? Or are we to live modestly... only our daily bread... reserving the reminder for the least of these, to act as God's hands and feet in this broken and hurting world. HowGiving is made up of a number of generosity-focused ministries, including: GiveInstead.app, an app designed to help givers to give instead of buying stuff they want, but truly don't need. Learn more at The App page. Generostees.shop, an online retail of t-shirts, hats, hoodies and the like with funny and Christian-based themes, with profits going to Christian humanitarian Charity. Giving Book, the first in a series of books on the topic of true Christian trust in our generous God, through Jesus Christ. Profits, again, go to Christian humanitarian charity. FreeHelper.org, a group of Christian handymen and landscapers who help those in need - focusing primarily on widows and single moms, but also those without the ability or financial means to fix, trim, build or otherwise keep up the homestead. And GivingJoe, a coffee roaster, brewer and retail, providing high quality coffee and coffee-based drinks, funneling profits to Christian humanitarian charities.
