Raising HPV vaccination rates and preventing HPV cancers in the United States.
About us
A national coalition, established by @american-cancer-society, dedicated to raising HPV vaccination rates and preventing HPV cancers in the US. Our vision: We see a future where cervical cancers can be nearly eliminated in the U.S., sparing millions of women and families unnecessary pain, stress, and financial burden. We believe that by working together over the long-term, we can move towards ending vaccine-preventable HPV cancers as a public health problem.

"When HPV vaccines became available in 2006, they were initially only approved for girls. Even when vaccines were offered to boys in 2009, much of the messaging around HPV continued to focus on risks to women and girls, such as protection against cervical cancer. It’s one reason that today's awareness of the benefits of HPV vaccines tends to be significantly higher among women than among men, Osazuwa-Peters and co-authors note."
