Safe Baby Plus empowers parents by sharing age-appropriate development, providing the tools and activities relevant to important milestones. When we asked Bea what she's most proud of she said, "Being a good mom and raising two amazing sons!" Through Safe Baby Plus, she helps other parents be the best they can be for their children as well. Our Safe Baby team had an opportunity to present their collaborative approach to reducing preventable infant deaths at the Nineteenth International Conference on Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma in Salt Lake City, UT held September 15-17. 📸: Lisa Colen, Outreach Director, Kelly Cappls, National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome board member, and Jessica Reynolds, Community Outreach Manager.

This past weekend, Paola Galarza, our Child Fatality Prevention Specialist, had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Prevention Conference in Orlando to learn from outstanding prevention professionals who shared insights into the initiatives and efforts being made in their respective counties. Earlier this week we had a Safe Baby and community resources training with University of South Florida College of Nursing students at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County. Emily Tinti, from the Children's Board provided an introduction and Children's Board Family Resource Centers Director, Tyheshia Scott, led a tour of the resource center. Our Adolescent/Teen Health Program Manager, Danielle Lewald, also provided a presentation and discussed Teen Connect. The students were very engaged and learned a lot!
