Medicare is Taking Action to Lower Drug Prices! For the first time ever, Medicare is directly negotiating with manufacturers to secure lower prices for certain high-cost, brand-name Medicare Part B and Part D drugs that currently lack competition. The initial negotiations have been completed for the first 10 selected drugs, with new prices set to take effect in 2026. This is a major step toward making essential medications more affordable for millions of Americans.
