PIL Creative Group was founded 20+ years ago with a commitment to creating “work that works” for our clients. Patsy I. Linares, after serving as Creative Director for several high-profile advertising agencies in Miami, envisioned a design studio specializing in traditional marketing. As we grew, our focus shifted to collaborating with clients to create and execute distinctive brand identities. Today, PIL Creative Group offers a full range of services, from innovative digital solutions to traditional marketing. Our expertise spans various digital platforms and placement strategies. Ideas are the cornerstone of our model. We excel in creativity, strategy, and anticipating our clients’ needs. At PIL, we love crafting authentic and meaningful brands. Launched in 2009 with her maiden voyage to Istanbul, Odyssey quickly became synonymous with luxurious exploration, including her iconic 2010 World Cruise. As she embarks on her final voyage, departing from Seattle to Yokohama, Japan, we honor her legacy and reflect on the countless extraordinary adventures she’s provided. PATSY’S REVIEW OF OKTOBERFEST: The creativity and design in each Oktoberfest beer tent are remarkable, with varying styles catering to different demographics. For instance, the Käfer Wiesn-Schänke tent, designed as a cozy Bavarian log cabin, attracts an older crowd with its rustic, calm atmosphere. Meanwhile, the Hofbräu-Festzelt is youthful and lively, often filled with American students. Historically, Oktoberfest begins in late September and runs through the first Sunday of October, originally starting in 1810 to celebrate a royal marriage. Every year, the decorations are taken down and meticulously recreated for the next festival. Some noteworthy tents include: Käfer Wiesn-Schänke: A cozy, rustic tent for a more intimate, older crowd, known for its warm Bavarian log cabin design and late-night atmosphere. Pschorr-Bräurosl: The tent preserves Bavarian culture with a modern twist, featuring a 15-meter-tall roof and historical décor inspired by its 1901 origins. The tent was named after the beautiful Rosi Pschorr, known for riding her black horse through town. Augustiner Festhalle: Known for its friendly atmosphere and signature beer stored in wooden barrels. The illuminated 30-meter Augustiner Tower makes it a nighttime landmark. WHAT PATSY IS WEARING: Unlike other festivals, Oktoberfest fashion is simple—dirndls and lederhosen are the go-to outfits, making dressing easy and fun! #OKTOBERFEST #BrandAudit #CreativeAgency

    I recently visited the Bay of Pigs Museum and was completely blown away by the depth and detail of the exhibits. Every display is rich with history, telling the incredible story of the mission and the brave souls who took part in it. The weapons, the strategy, and the personal testimonies from the soldiers themselves are extraordinary. These men—an inspiring blend of farmers, lawyers, barbers, doctors, actors, engineers, and priests—came together as a unit to form the Assault Brigade 2506, called Freedom Fighters, representing the strength of a functional, civilized society. I had the true honor of meeting some of these veterans in person. Hearing their passion and determination to share their mission with future generations was moving. Their one mission—strengthening the unity among Brigade 2506 veterans—is still alive today, rooted in the same ideals that drove them forward on April 17, 1961 during the Cuban Revolution. This visit was particularly meaningful to me as it echoed my own family’s journey. My parents, like so many Cuban immigrants, escaped the revolution in the 1960s. They left behind everything—my grandfather was very entrepreneurial and left many companies like a coffee plantation in Guantánamo, salt mines, and a successful import/export business to Spain. My father was on the path to becoming a heart surgeon, and my mother, a lawyer, at the University of Havana before they had to flee with only what they could carry. Their only ticket out was my older brother, born in Virginia before the revolution, a U.S. citizen. With him, they escaped to America, eventually settling in Miami after a volatile start in Virginia. Like so many others, my father cheered on these Freedom Fighters with hope in his heart that one day, he would see his beloved Cuba again. Today, only 537 of the original 1,414 Brigade members remain, but their story—of bravery, resilience, and unwavering belief in freedom—continues to inspire. Thank you for this unforgettable visit.
