  • Interning at HubSpot opens up so many paths for your future – from landing a full-time role to coming back for a second internship. Caleb Lim did both, and his journey is packed with inspiration. Let's dive into his story! 🚀 "Hello everyone! 👋My name is Caleb Lim, and I am a 2x HubSpot intern and now full time software engineer. I have had a phenomenal experience as a HubSpotter, and I am super excited to share my story with you all. My first internship was an in-office frontend internship on the sales-meetings team, where I had the opportunity to plan and ship a major feature that HubSpot customers can use today. I enjoyed being at the office, interacting with the interns and full time employees (some of whom I still talk to today), and exploring the city of Boston. My second internship was a remote backend internship on the connected emails team. My manager assigned me a project to investigate a critsit and implement future mitigation measures. Even though I was remote, I felt so supported by everyone on my team (I still remember our happy hours playing tsuro and other online board games). I also enjoyed having coffee chats with people outside of my role, and I even shadowed a customer support specialist. If you are a student, my biggest advice would be to take initiative and find ways to build your skills outside the classroom. I participated in a lot of hackathons (as a participant and an organizer) and joined student organizations that built open source software. I also did the MLH Fellowship, which I would highly recommend as my skills grew so much over the course of the fellowship." Excited about what's ahead? Keep an eye out for our upcoming roles opening soon! 👀 #HubSpotJourney

  • Ever wonder if Software Engineering Interns and Co-Ops at HubSpot are locked into a single track? 🤔 Think again! Front-End or Back-End? The choice is yours, just like Nima Sheth. Read how individuality thrives and creativity shines in our diverse project teams! 👇 "Hi everyone! My name is Nima Sheth and I am a software engineering intern on the Social Insights team this Summer. Our team focuses on allowing our customers to monitor and analyze the performance of their social media posts, ultimately helping them figure out the effectiveness of their social media strategies. During my time here, I’ve been working on a mid-sized beta project directly from customer feedback where I got to take the lead and which you’ll find out more soon 😉 Overall, it’s really motivating to see how my work has made a tangible impact on HubSpot users and enhanced their experience using our product :) One of the main reasons I chose HubSpot is because of the company’s strong focus on learning and growth. It’s been inspiring and encouraging to work with engineers who constantly push each other to improve. I've also had the chance to develop on my existing skills and pick up new ones, which has been incredibly rewarding! Additionally, the mentorship and support I received from HubSpot truly made a difference in my internship. The career advice and guidance I got was incredibly helpful, and it all played a big role in my growth and development during my time here :) I also really appreciate HubSpot’s company culture. It’s clear that they value in-office collaboration and connection, as seen in the many engaging events they host each month. This emphasis on creating a supportive and vibrant work environment has made my experience here truly memorable! As my internship comes to an end, I just want to say how much I’ve enjoyed my time here! The mentorship from my team and the collaborative environment has made this experience incredibly rewarding. I’m thankful for everything I’ve learned and the friends I’ve made, and I’m excited to bring these experiences with me as I move forward in my career. Thank you for making this summer so fantastic!" And thank you Nima for being an amazing HubSpotter! 🧡 Feeling inspired by Nima's journey? Get ready, because our roles are opening in September! Keep your eyes peeled for exciting opportunities ahead. 🚀

  • Looking to dive into a world where coding meets creative collaboration? 😏 Join Tara Greenwood on her journey at HubSpot and discover why you should apply to HubSpot this coming Fall! 🤩 "Hey everyone! 👋 My name is Tara. I joined HubSpot back in April as a Co-Op Intern. I’m a part of the Infrastructure Security - Privacy team and work @Office. Our team helps ensure the integrity of data privacy at HubSpot. HubSpot has been an interest of mine since my first year of college, after attending a “Day In The Life of a SWE” talk at my university. Unfortunately, despite being eager to apply I had a few more years to wait! I was pleasantly surprised by the interview process at HubSpot. The interview tasks had real-world applications and oftentimes tasks would feel like discussions or conversations rather than scrutiny of ability. The onboarding process was also delightful to experience, going from knowing very little about HubSpot’s internal processes to being able to contribute to my team in a meaningful way. The work at HubSpot has kept me on my toes - interns are treated the same as full-time engineers, and their input is valued. I’ve learned so much by engaging with varying projects and technologies that I haven’t used prior, and was assisted every step of the way by my team! Even from my first week, I was given ownership of tasks - there is nothing more rewarding than seeing something you created go live on production servers! The social culture at HubSpot is amazing, and it makes coming into the office each week something I look forward to! And even though I’m an @Office employee I have the ability to work two days a week of my choosing at home. Overall, I am delighted to be working at HubSpot and have learned so much in the short time I’ve been here!" What are you expecting from a company for your internship? Be heard in the comments below! 👇 #GenZTech #DayInTheLife

  • What does an Associate Product Manager Intern do at HubSpot you ask? Well Katelyn Donn why don't you tell them! 🙌 "Hi everyone! I’m Katelyn Donn, the Associate Product Manager intern on the FlyWheel Deal Management team this summer and I wanted to share a bit about my HubSpot journey so far and the projects I’ve taken up along the way. My main focus this summer surrounded a feature’s entire product lifecycle – taking an early idea from concept to its first deliverable version. I started off conducting user interviews and understanding customer pain points, to collaborating with design and engineering to create an MVP for the feature we wanted to roll out. The back and forth of customer feedback, both implicit and explicit, helped shape the tool and customize it to fit user needs. My project utilizes generative AI to transform the way our internal sales team interacts with our deal platform, so my technical background as a Data Science (and Finance!) major really assisted in my understanding of the backend, behind-the-scenes of our feature. The other two projects I took on were both more research-oriented, with one focusing on comparing the internal offerings we had within our hubs, and the other focusing on user pain points and next steps for my team in terms of sales forecasting and deal management. The projects I worked on gave me a better understanding of the demands of product management as well as the expectations of an APM at HubSpot. Through these, I learned how to work with my team, how to put the customer first, and how to always be curious – there are no questions too small! My experience at HubSpot so far has been incredibly encouraging and eye-opening, and as my internship is coming to an end, I’ve been able to reflect on the support, community, and mentorship that I’ve received from Day 1. There’s unbelievable room for growth and autonomy at HubSpot, and there’s incredible people to support you along the way as well." Are these the kinds of projects that interest you as well? Share in the comments below what you're most looking forward to learning during an internship 👇
