“ Moving on to the Next Chapter…” As I am typing this, I still cannot believe that I have been in the tourism and hospitality industry for 39 crazy years. And my hospitality comrades can attest…. WE HAVE SEEN CRAZY! I will be stepping into my next era at the end of January 2025. Of course, a huge part of my heart goes to Bartell Hotels and Humphreys Half Moon Inn where I have spent my last 21 years. There simply is no better organization or workplace. I truly hope to cross paths with many of you in my retirement either swimming at La Jolla Cove, on the Pickle Ball court, on mountain bike trails, with my dog Carl at Children’s Hospital in the PET (Pet Encounter Therapy- we are in training!) program with Helen Woodward and helping a few of my favorite clients with their important programs. The people of the San Diego tourism and hospitality industry genuinely stand alone and above. They are truly exceptional. I am proud to have been welcomed in that amazing mix. I owe my longevity and successes to having the great fortune of learning from and working with, so many incredible people.
